LY Health‘s Undecyl phenylalanine is a white powder. It is a structural analog of α-MSH. By competitively binding melanin-stimulating  receptor MC1-R on melanocytes, melanocytes can not produce tyrosinase, thereby inhibiting melanocyte activity and reducing melanin production. LY Health‘s Undecyl phenylalanine does reduce the spots formed by pigmentation.
